Most of us do not die to the flesh as soon as we are saved; so still are in the process of becoming, even though we are a new creation.
The real key is our heart condition of repentance once we realize the sin and willingness to have it brought before the Father for His cleansing. Bit by bit our hearts are broken for our condition. It's a working out that takes place for our salvation and to receive all that has been given us. The flesh does not want to die! But thanks be to God, He is commited to help us.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4430586908363955777.post-36007338516093398522010-06-13T02:23:03.525-07:002010-06-13T02:23:03.525-07:00The 4 points above about the untrustwothiness of h...The 4 points above about the untrustwothiness of humanity will apply to the unsaved but not the saved. The saved have died to sin Rom6v2, we're no longer slaves of sin Rom6v6. Ephesians 2 v1-3 is speaking of our condition before we were born again. Eph 2 v5 says even when we were like the proceeding verses said, He made us alive and gave us new life. We were circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands and the corrupt carnal nature was stripped off Colos2v11. We've been made holy Heb10v10, we have forever been cleansed and perfected Heb10v14.

Everything I have mentioned speaks of our spiritual state in Him. So how do we reconcile this with what we see? We don't! We are to think of ourselves and others as spirit as He is Spirit. 2Cor5v16 says this, it then leads into the fact that we are new creatures altogether v17. If we start meditating on these scriptures and believing them then we will see the transformation process as per Rom 12v2 speedily taking affect. As a man thinketh so is he. Start thinking about others and yourselves as new creatures in Christ. Teachers and preachers massage this into the saints. Lets deal with the identity crisis there is in the Church. We are not souls who live in a body and have a spirit. We are spirit beings with souls who live in a body. People are locked into that which is past. We compare our performance with some perceived set of natural rules. We are not natural beings! We are born of the Spirit. And that which is born of Spirit is spirit John3v6. Be transformed by the renewing of your minds and understand that each one of us is a brand new being with the same life in us that God gave Jesus when He raised Him from the dead. This is going on to maturity in Christ. Lets turn our backs on sin consciousness and preach righteousness consciousness. Preaching sin consciousness will only keep the saints away from the Father, focusing on themselves. Preaching righteousness which is a free gift received from God by faith, will cause us to overflow in love for God.John Alcockhttp://www.mobilisenow.comnoreply@blogger.com
