Unfortunately those new converts that are brought in seldom have any meaningful training or teaching in any other area than evangelism. This creates a dry Christian experience for all who are not called to be an evangelist causing many to leave in frustration. It is time for the church to re-invest itself in Jesus and let the rest fall into place.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4430586908363955777.post-74722416726767582912010-10-17T18:20:24.873-07:002010-10-17T18:20:24.873-07:00Thanks for your comments.. If judgment and justice is not first, I don't think we will see much evangelism.

We need to have churches that will do Jer 22:3.

I don't share the vision of many a modern day church. Our values seem to be so different.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4430586908363955777.post-17780553290262766232010-10-17T07:39:09.624-07:002010-10-17T07:39:09.624-07:00You have stated what I have believed for a long ti...You have stated what I have believed for a long time. Thank you. However, stating that the church is the 'new Israel' may confuse some to believe that the church has replaced Israel. Replacement theology and all of its damage are being reversed by God in a growing movement around the world. Maybe the truth regarding the call to be the light of the world could be expressed with a little different wording...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4430586908363955777.post-52445026214460334622010-10-17T06:26:32.443-07:002010-10-17T06:26:32.443-07:00How do you love your neighbour? You love the community by providing quality by running a business that provides quality goods and services, employment for local people and at the same time produces enough profit for you to pay for the local alcohol rehabilitation programme. All these things and more besides enable the church to reach out to help the people it was supposed to serve. Part of the reason why the church has such a poor image is that it has not done what was supposed to do. It is also part of the reason why others have been able to take over its place in society. If people do not see what value there is in living the Christian life they will not even think about doing so.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4430586908363955777.post-3067855361768513672010-10-16T23:29:00.290-07:002010-10-16T23:29:00.290-07:00Brother Frank, I forwarded your post to a number o...Brother Frank, I forwarded your post to a number of Evangelical-minded friends in ministry. John 17 seems to throw a bit of a different light. I agree with yout thoughts, but submit that the reasoning is very incomplete, - perhaps "Pastoral", opposed to a Prohetic or Evangelist view/ calling. One Body, many members. I am one of the dying breed of Traditional Mission Workers (DL Moody Paradigm), focussing on central Africa (Unreached) people who do not have the Joy of Salvation, comfortable Christian surroundings, Church luxaries and inter-ministry/ inter-denominational differences yet. Thank you however, for a valuable perspective. SincerelyAbraham J. I pray to convey your thoughts to the unreached, difficult to reach and unattended in Chirst Jesus along the Congo River and its tributaries, where neither Frank's Paradigm nor DL Moodey have yet reached. View point vary and needs call for different approaches. I am weary of "exclusive absolutes". Sincerely,Abraham J. Meintjeshttp://www.elshaddai.givengain.orgnoreply@blogger.com
