Perhaps Mr. VanCronkhite should familiarize himself with men like Oswald Chambers, CS Lewis or Wilberforce. He might study history and learn how the church has liberated this world. I have a feeling he is mostly self taught.
May I suggest he read the Great commandment "to love the Lord, your God with all your Heart..." which precedes the commandment to love your neighbor.
Yes, God loved David, but he didn't allow him to build His temple. God takes sin quite seriously, enough to die for it in our place.

Your ego resonates in your writing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4430586908363955777.post-6375506095834143932011-02-07T08:48:47.971-08:002011-02-07T08:48:47.971-08:00I agree with much of what you have said, David, ho...I agree with much of what you have said, David, however I struggle when I hear preached over and over how much God loves us (which is true) but not teach that if we have truly been born again that there will be a heart change whereby we will love Jesus and the Father and with that exchange others will be changed by the reality of Christ in us. I.E., we will be doers of the Word and not hearers only, thereby deceiving ourselves. Obedience has almost become a dirty word in some church circles when in fact Jesus said that if we love Him we will obey His teachings. I have come to understand by His Spirit that there is no half-way house in the Kingdom of God...and my concern is that if the WHOLE truth is not taught i.e. that there is a hell as well as a heaven, many will be lost forever for lack of understanding the full gospel. Matthew 18 really addresses this issue.Mama Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17412751625732079943noreply@blogger.com
